Carbon Management Support for Airports, U.K. |
The Airport Carbon Management Group consists of representatives of the various UK Airports operators. These include companies such as BAA, who are responsible for the running of 7 of the major airports in the UK.
The purpose of this group is to combine forces to reduce carbon emissions at airports- people are often unaware that there are a great variety of sources for carbon emissions, not directly related to the aircrafts.
This group is partly funded by the Carbon Trust, who initiated Abricon’s involvement with the group.
Abricon’s services for the group include:
- Communications between the Group and the Carbon trust
- Organising and Facilitating meetings
- Collection and Evaluation of available data to identify possible areas of carbon reduction
- Advice on services available from the Carbon Trust and other sources
- Training
