Verification of ETS Baseline Data for Various Food & Drink Companies |
The Emission Trading Scheme started in 2005. As the dealine approached, companies had increasingly limited time to achieve verified baseline data, and demand for qualified Verifiers was high. One of the UK’s main Verification Companies subsequently invited Abricon to assist their team of Emission verifiers.
The tasks entailed ensuring the information submitted conformed to the requirements of the EU ETS guidelines, including consistency, accuracy and completeness.
The first step of the verification process is to ensure that all emissions that are part of the installation have been reported. Secondly the data available has to be checked for completeness and accuracy.
Once the packages were verified Abricon was involved in the verification work for several companies in the Food & Drink Sector.
