Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme Regulations (ESOS)

We have staff that have gained accreditation through STROMA to act in the role as Lead Assessor. We have developed a systematic approach to energy auditing. Using a simple tool-box that makes the delivery of data so much easier.  Furthermore Abricon can help you every step of the way from analysing paper utilities invoices through to reporting a Life-cycle cost analysis of the opportunities identified to Senior Management.

Government established ESOS to implement Article 8 (4 to 6) of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive (2012/27/EU). The ESOS Regulations 2014 give effect to the scheme.

Therefore ESOS is a mandatory energy assessment scheme for organisations in the UK that meet the qualification criteria. The Environment Agency is the UK scheme administrator.

Organisations that qualify for ESOS must carry out ESOS assessments every 4 years. These assessments consist of audits from the energy used by their buildings, industrial processes and transport to identify cost-effective energy saving measures.
